Award Ceremony Voice Over - Celebrate the Victories
Award show voiceover narration is a unique and exciting genre of the industry. At these ceremonies, which are arranged by corporations, non-profits, trade associations, schools, government organizations, and more, people and their contributions– be they philanthropic or not, are commended for their hard-earned efforts on behalf of a company, an organization, or a cause.
This is an opportunity for a gathering of their peers to show their respect and admiration for the accomplishments that have been made and for the honorees to be thanked and celebrated in style. The experience is often both emotional and gratifying.
Profile videos are shown at these events, and are mini-docs that tell a story, taking you through a journey to show the trials and tribulations of a hospital for example, the odds they were up against, the challenges they have overcome, and the feel-good resolution thanks to what they have recently achieved. There’s often the need for more work to be done, but through authentic storytelling, the audience is left with a lasting impression, and a powerful message to continue working toward these communal goals.

What People Say
Debbie is a new addition to our roster of voice over talent – quite a great find. She is not only a pleasure to work with, but, on a recent national spot for the National Down Syndrome Society, followed direction very well and proved to be able to maintain stamina and consistency during an extremely long session.
Debbie is a delight to have in the studio. Her professionalism and impressive range are tremendous assets to any project, as is her sense of humor!
So glad we found you. Really good female voices are hard to come by for some reason.
Your Attention Please...
Debbie has voiced many beautiful tributes, which are anthemic in nature, and is proud to help celebrate your many achievements.
You might have noticed the VOG while watching a televised broadcast of award shows, or even ones you have been lucky to attend yourself. It is the booming voice from above kindly urging guests to take their seats when the programming is about to begin, you might hear them announce a speaker or presenter during the event as well, or other important messages throughout the evening. The VOG, by its very nature, takes command of the room. It needs to have a mix of qualities that are authoritative, smooth, and approachable.
Many times the VOG is voiced by a voice talent that is there in person. They are a dynamic part of the evening because of their versatile and expressive tone.
Debbie has been the in-person announcer for many award ceremonies which, like any live show, requires intense focus and performance skills in the moment. There is no editing in post when you’re performing live!
Debbie was the VOG at the International Fragrance Foundation (FIFI) Awards event, hosted by Jane Lynch at the Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, brushing elbows with megastars like Chaka Khan. She has also worked at the Ace Design Excellence Awards for the Accessory Council and the Pave Planning and Visual Education Awards.
Experienced Award Ceremonies Voice Over Talent
When she isn’t at the show in person to make announcements she records nominee and host announcements and video narrations. These pre-recorded voiceovers celebrate the accomplishments of those individuals or institutions the event has been organized for. Debbie has recorded award show voiceovers for Volvo, MIT, and the City and Regional Magazine Awards, as well as for various benefits and fundraising events. Debbie was honored to be a part of the gala events for the Women’s Refugee Commission: Voices of Courage Awards, Northwell Health’s Award recognitions, National Healthcare Leadership Awards, and the NY Blood Center. To get the opportunity to be a part of an award ceremony that is honoring the accomplishments of industries and causes that she is passionate about and cares deeply for is especially rewarding for Debbie.
This type of voiceover is always an opportunity to have some fun and be a part of an extraordinary and exciting evening. It requires a voice talent that is good on her feet, sharp, adaptable, and confident. Someone like Debbie, with years of experience, steps into this role as a vibrant and integral component of the award ceremony evening with ease.
