Achieve Linguistic Clarity with Voice Over Localization

With 6,500 languages spoken in the world today, chances are you’ll want to get your message heard by people of different native tongues. To do that, you need to localize your content, which means translating from one language to another while keeping in mind the cultural differences inherent in each. Sensitivity to nuance, dialects, syntax and colloquialisms is key to being authentic to the people you’re speaking to.

Localization is the act of taking into account the culture of the people you are trying to reach and adjusting the translation to fit the culture. Taking into account the vernacular of a region will make your message much more impactful.

Many businesses have a global supply chain to produce products or services. Whether in banking and finance, food and agriculture, retail and advertising, health and wellness, heavy machinery and construction, many languages are spoken throughout these transnational companies, and their communications must maintain linguistic coherence and cultural sensitivity. You want to be sure that your message is not only specialized for your specific target markets, but that it also maintains consistency the world over.

The Importance of Voice Over Localization

Did you know that romance languages will typically have 25-30% more words than English and some languages have many more multisyllabic words? This is especially important to keep in mind when a video has already been made, as re-rendering a video can be time consuming and costly. It also impacts the length of your narration, which can be a big problem if your original version is already tight on timing. Localizing the content for your audience at the outset will save you time and money down the road.

Debbie works extensively with various companies to provide these services– from transcriptions, to certified translations, to editing of content with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), to hiring voiceover artists in their native tongue, to editing audio and producing the final video or powerpoint content.

Learn More About Voice Over Localization

Whether the content is complex, highly technical or not, translating from the source language is done with experts who have industry-specific experience. The companies Debbie works with offer 150 languages and dialects, including accented English.

An accurate translation renders a document from one language into another. A certified translation involves even more. With a certified translation, you get the added assurance that the document is now a legal record.

Different organizations have different requirements for certified translations. We follow the most rigorous standards, and our professional linguists attest to the accuracy of the translation. This diminishes the possibility of fraud and gives you peace of mind.
